How to remove a photo background
Background removal isolates the main subject of a photo and returns a transparent PNG. Use the result for stickers, product-style cutouts, or as cleaner input for coloring pages and paint by numbers.
Sign in, then open Remove Background from the sidebar.
How to remove a background
- Upload a photo within the size and format limits shown on the page.
- Click Remove Background and wait for processing.
- Download the transparent PNG from your history when it is ready.
Tips
- A clear subject against a contrasting background gives the cleanest cutout.
- Busy backgrounds may leave small artifacts — crop closer to the subject first.
- Fine edges such as hair or fur may need a quick touch-up in a design app for critical use.
- Transparency can be hard to see on a white page. Open the PNG in an editor if you need to confirm it.
Background removal uses 1 credit per image.
