How to mix colors in Virtual Artist Lab
Color Mixing blends two to four paint colors with custom ratios using paint-style mixing, not simple screen blending. You can preview intermediate mixes and glazing over a background color.
Sign in, then open Virtual Artist Lab → Color Mixing.
How to mix colors
- Optionally set a background color for glazing previews.
- Add 2 to 4 colors and set a ratio for each.
- Enter colors manually, or pick from a loaded palette when your plan allows it.
- Review the mix summary, mixing grid, and glazing previews.
- Click a grid cell to apply that blend.
Tips
- Ratios are relative parts (for example 2:1), not percentages.
- A ratio of 0 excludes that color from the mix.
- For a quick 50/50 reference across many colors, use Color Mixing Chart.
- Brand palette picking is a premium feature. Free users can still enter HEX values or use personal palettes.
Color Mixing is free and does not use credits.
